vvktqk Little Post Office Sorting Station
Special deliveries for an imaginary neighbourhood.
Special deliveries for an imaginary neighbourhood. Choose a postcard, pretend to stamp it, and decide who should receive the message. Sort letters at the counter, post them into the little mailbox and take turns being the postmaster or the visitor.
A familiar errand becomes a whole story
A visit to the post office has a satisfying beginning, middle and end: choose a message, prepare it for delivery and send it on its way. This compact station turns that everyday sequence into a small world of role-play. The coral counter and sage mailbox create two recognisable destinations, while the illustrated postcard tiles provide simple visual prompts for deciding where the next letter belongs.
Take a turn on either side of the counter
One player can run the sorting station while another visits with a postcard. Pretend to stamp the tile, place it into a sorting space or post it through the mailbox slot, then swap jobs. The activity can become a delivery route between favourite toys or a story about a surprising letter. There is no need to read written addresses to begin: players can invent recipients and explain their choices aloud.
Easy to revisit in different ways
The two sorting spaces offer a starting point for arranging postcards by picture, destination or an invented delivery schedule. Children can explore their own systems rather than copy one correct solution. Set the station on a stable low table, gather the tiles nearby and leave a little room for visitors to arrive. When the story is finished, collect the stamp tool and postcards together so the next round can start easily.
One more way to play
Invent a special delivery for each favourite toy and ask what news the postcard might contain. A thank-you, an invitation or a cheerful greeting can all become part of the story. Children can decide which sorting space to use and explain their own delivery system before the next visitor arrives at the counter.
What is included
One post-office counter, one mailbox, six illustrated postcard tiles, and one pretend stamp tool. Background furniture, plants, unrelated toys and other scene styling are not included.
Care and everyday use
Inspect the toy and its components before each session. Use in a clean, dry play area and set aside any damaged part. Follow the care instructions, assembly guidance, warnings and age grading supplied with the manufactured product. Adult participation is recommended, and packaging should be removed before play. Keep the complete set together after use so it is ready for the next little adventure.
